Dressing Angels held a "Walk For Mental Health Awareness" event at the Shops At Wiregrass on Saturday May 17, 2014. The purpose of the even was to raise funds for Dressing Angels and spread awareness about Mental Illness.
Dozens of walkers enjoyed the beautiful morning by walking 3 miles from the Shops At Wiregrass to the recently opened North Tampa Behavioral Health Hospital and back to the mall. The event was hosted by the hospital as well as a local CBS reporter. Several sponsors donated food and snacks for the event.

Dressing Angels provided clothing to 50 under-privileged students at Robles Elementary School in Tampa, FL. Each student received a gift bag provided by Dressing Angels that included 1 week's amount of clothing. Dressing Angels was proud to be able to help out these kids in need!

Phyllis met Tony and Lauren Dungy at a local book signing event at a Barnes & Nobel bookstore. Their new book "Uncommon Marriage" largely offers advice overcoming challenges and maintaining a strong marriage by relying on Christian values. The book also includes a chapter about how they coped with the death of their son Jamie, who committed suicide three days before Christmas in 2005.

Secret Santa Giving Event at Wimauma Elementary School
December 18, 2013 Dressing Angels participated in a Secret Santa Event at Wimauma Elementary School in Wimauma, FL to provide clothing to 50 under-privileged students for Christmas. Each student received a gift bag provided by Dressing Angels that included 1 week's amount of clothing. The event included many influential people from the community, including former MLB player Darryl Strawberry and North Tampa Behavioral Health CEO James Harris (both pictured right) who donate their time and money to help the mentally ill.
North Tampa Behavioral Health is a new private inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment center located in Wesley Chapel, Florida. North Tampa Behavioral Health is a state of the art, safe, non-institutional environment where clients feel welcomed and comfortable so they can focus on their treatment and begin the recovery process
